Learn how to use the new Shortcuts for iOS App to import photos into Adobe Lightroom CC and delete them from your device’s Camera Roll in no time. You can dramatically speed up, and simplify, the import process in Adobe Lightroom CC on an iPad or iPhone using the new Shortcuts App from Apple.
Until now importing images from your mobile device’s Camera Roll into the Adobe Lightroom CC for Mobile App has been a tedious process. By design, Adobe Lightroom CC for iOS adds a copy of your photos into your Lightroom CC Library when you use the Import button to pick images from your devices Camera Roll.
I stress the word Copy here because, by default, one copy of every image that you import this way will live inside of your Adobe Lightroom CC Library and a completely separate copy will also remain inside of your device’s native Photos App.
If you are only importing a couple of photos into Adobe Lightroom CC from your device’s camera roll then the duplication is no big deal. If on the other hand, you are trying to use your iPad / iPhone to import an entire memory card from a dslr type camera then this duplication of every image robs us of a lot of storage space on the mobile device. Fortunately, there is now an easy way to solve this problem using a custom Siri Shortcut!
If saving time and space on your iOS device appeals to you then install the new Shortcuts App from Apple and watch this tutorial.
