Let’s explore a different way to use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom’s Graduated Filter. Unlike the previous tutorial, this time we are going to work on two pictures where introducing warm and cool colors with the Graduated Filter will create a more dynamic compelling image.
In this video, and in a lot of my tutorials, I stress the importance of photographing warm and cool colors together. This warm vs. cool color contrast is something that the human eye loves and enhancing these elements always adds pop to our photographs.
For some photographers, the result that I end with in this video tutorial might be ethically, or aesthetically, “over-the-top.” While our tastes in art and our threshold of image-manipulation may differ, a robust understanding of all of the features hidden within Adobe Photoshop Lightroom’s Develop Module will eventually help any photographer build stronger photographs. How far you choose to push things with this powerful tool is up to you.
