Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic can send a copy of your favorite images over to the Adobe Lightroom CC for Mobile family of Apps. Once enabled, Lightroom Classic will seamlessly send a Smart Preview size version of your favorite images over to the Lightroom CC for Mobile App on your phone or your tablet.
As you know, the first step in the Lightroom Classic to Lightroom CC for Mobile synchronization process is to add all of the images that you want into a traditional drag-and-drop style Collection inside of your Lightroom Classic Catalog. This “add to Collection then enable sync with mobile” workflow is easy but it has its limits. Unfortunately Smart Collections cannot be synced with Lightroom CC for Mobile.
This has always been a major frustration for photographers like me who love Smart Collections. Fortunately, the brilliant Jeffrey Friedl has just released a new Smart Collection Sync Plugin that provides a really clever workaround.
Jeffrey Friedl’s plugin requires some setup so in today’s video tutorial I will walk you through every step of the installation and configuration process. By the way, all of Jeffrey Friedl’s plugins including this new Smart Collection Sync tool are donation-ware.
Jeffrey makes these wonderful tools and puts them out there for us to try for free. If you like what this plugin does, and I bet that you will, then be sure to send him a donation via Paypal.
