You will need solid selection skills to blur away a distracting background using Photoshop. Making a precise selection around your subject is an essential part of this complex process. Tools like Adobe Photoshop’s new Select Subject command and the Select and Mask Workspace can help but expect to spend a bit of time on this step of the blur process.
Once you have a good selection around the area that you want to keep in focus then the tools like Content-Aware Fill, the Field Blur Filter, and Adobe Photoshop’s Camera Raw Filter make the rest of the background blurring routine pretty easy.
